DIY Yarn Wrapped Candles

Add a touch of Fall to your decor with this easy DIY project.
Here's what you'll need:
Battery Operated Candles
Tacky Glue
Yarn
ModPodge
Patterned Napkins

Add a line of tacky glue around the bottom edge of the candle.

Add more tacky glue on the candle. You don't need a lot. Just enough to help secure the yarn.

Start wrapping the yarn around the candle. Stop every now and then to press the yarn tighter together.

Add a line of tacky glue around the candle at the point you'd like the yarn to end so that the last row of yarn is secure.

If you've been here before, then you know how much I love to use patterned paper napkins on projects!
Well, here I go again!
Separate the layers of the napkin so that you are left with only the top layer. Tear around the part of the napkin that you'd like to use.

Add ModPodge to the yarn.

Place the napkin over the ModPodge and press down. Then put a top coat of ModPodge over the napkin.

Use the end of the brush to press down on the napkin so that the texture of the yarn shows through.

Incorporate other napkin designs to make this project work for any season. Gotta go get started on some for Christmas!
