Feather Your Nest Ornament

This ornament is quick, easy, AND inexpensive.
You could make several in just a few minutes!
They are also easy enough for the kids to make.

The base of the ornament came from the craft store in the Christmas section. It already has a loop for hanging.
Remove the paper disc from inside and
trace around it onto scrapbook paper.
Cut the scrapbook paper along
 the lines you just traced.
Use tacky glue to adhere the paper to the base.

Use tacky glue to glue in Spanish moss to form a nest.
Spanish moss can be found at the
Dollar Store in the floral & craft section.
Add a little green moss. This came in the
same package as the Spanish moss.

Glue in a little bird and your ornament is ready to hang.

So simple.
So beautiful.

  4. How cute, and I've got a way to make it even more economical. Use the spool portion of the spools that ribbon are wound around!!! Just cute the craft paper using the spool itself as template and trace around the OUTSIDE edge. You just need to use a small loop of ribbon to create your hanger!!!
