Washi Tape Window Calendar

There are so many great projects out there using Washi tape. I,for one, couldn't really think of anything I wanted to make with it, so I'm a little late playing around with it!
But, I have some windows in my garage that a friend gave me when they replaced the windows in her house.
Hmmm...
what to do?
Here's what I came up with...
I found the tape at Target. In the same section as the tape, they had magnets that have the days of the week on them. I also got my dry erase markers on the same aisle.
I had originally planned to have it where you'd just write in the day of the week, but when I saw these magnets, I knew they'd be perfect!

I measured to evenly divide the window into 7 sections across.
I measured off 5 sections from the bottom up leaving enough space at the top to add my days of the week and the month.

An xacto knife cut the excess tape perfectly.

Using E6000, I glued the days of the week magnets onto the window.

I added one more row of tape above the days of the week.

All you have to do is write in the month and add the numbers in the correct section and your calendar is ready to fill in with all your important dates!

The dry erase markers work great on the glass. Just wipe it off when the next month rolls around.

  5. That's a great project. I've never heard of Washi tape let alone seen it. Maybe it's not available in Australia. Anyhow well done and it's actually a great idea and would be perfect for a family with kids seeing they have so many activities etc.
