No, I'm not actually making over a coffee bean. As interesting as that would be, I'm giving a pair of French Provincial end tables a makeover using the color, Coffee Bean, from the Dixie Belle Paint Company.
This pair of tables looked as though the veneer had been removed and then the tables were stained. The tops were scratched and they were just ugly!
I painted them with 2 coats of Coffee Bean...
I love the hardware that comes on French Provincial pieces so I definitely wanted to keep it. I scrubbed them with a toothbrush & some baking soda, rinsed them well, then used my finger to rub on some Gilding Wax in the color, Hammered Copper.
Before & after...
Coffee Bean is a great color... it's not quite black & not quite brown. A beautiful combination of the two.

You did a wonderful job! Growing up my mother had all French Provencial furniture for the living room and dining room. I hated it, but she loved it.
ReplyDeleteI love this style of furniture and how you painted it!
ReplyDeleteWow, what a difference to the table and the FP pulls!
