I recently mentioned that I went to
The Chapel Market
back in October.
One of the vendors there was
I bought some old tin tiles from them that I shared HERE.
Instead of handing out business cards,
they gave these wooden tags with their logo on them...
I thought it was so unique!
Rather than stick it away to get lost among my piles of "stuff,"
I turned it into an ornament for a friend.
I gave the wood a coat of paint to keep the logo from bleeding through (sorry, SAAA, for covering up your logo).
I printed a photo onto tissue paper
that I took on a recent trip to my friends'
North Georgia mountain home...
Printing on tissue paper is easy.
Just wrap a piece of white tissue paper around a piece
of computer paper just like you were wrapping a present.
Secure with tape. Then it will go through your printer just like a regular piece of paper.
I added the printed picture to the wood using ModPodge...
While the paper was wet, I tore off the excess paper.
The color of the house bled slightly and became more orange than red, so I painted over the house with a little bit of barn red paint.
My friend loved it!
And, it was a great way to recycle!
