Hang with me...I'll get to the mural part in a minute...
A couple of weeks ago I posted this picture and asked the question, "Where's VaVa?"
The answer...
San Juan, Puerto Rico.
We stayed at a beautiful resort called The LaConcha.
We had a corner suite with both ocean and city views...
The living area was kind of groovy...
It had a nice kitchen which I refused to use!
Except for the refrigerator & the coffee maker.
This was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in (other than my own) and the pillows were fantastic. Thankfully they left the tags on them so I could see what kind they were.
There were 3 pools...
Here's my man enjoying the water...
I want a humongous flower pot...
We spent a day in old San Juan. I love the colors!
The front of this building is all tile...
Some of the steep streets reminded me of San Francisco...
You can find a Starbuck's anywhere you go!!!
I need this sign! I think I'll make one!
This lucky little guy gets to live every day in paradise...
Now to the part about the mural.
This post could have also been titled,
While the cat's away, the mouse will play!
Because, while we were enjoying some time away...
my daughter, Carrie, called and asked where she could find sandpaper. I told her and asked, "why?"
"Because Madison (Carrie's best friend) and I are feeling crafty."
I loved hearing that and pictured them at the kitchen counter making all kinds of great things.
But instead they painted a mural of a dream catcher
in Carrie's room.
And it's fantastic!!!
I think they did a great job!
It looks much better than the time when Carrie was little and decided that she would like her carpet to have pink polka dots. She achieved the look she wanted by making the polka dots with my pink lipstick!!! Ground in lipstick doesn't come out of carpet.
Before I know it, she'll be changing her room again. We have lived in this house for 5 years and this is the 3rd time she's had a new design theme!
I wonder what will be next!
Hey, Carrie, you haven't changed your bathroom yet.
Get on that, will ya?
