I love Easter!
With it comes the promise of Spring.
Today I want to share my mantel decor that will be up for the month of March.
I also love my Cricut Expression.
Not as much as I love Easter, of course.
For those of you that have a Cricut, you know how costly it can be to buy the cartridges. And, you have to buy a lot of them to get exactly what you want!
There is a program for your computer called Sure Cuts A Lot (I'm not getting paid for this by the way) that allows you to make your own designs and you can use every font that is in your computer! You just hook your Cricut up to your computer and the possibilities are endless.
I also like that it shows the Cricut mat on my computer screen so I can lay out what I'm working on however I'd like.
For my Easter banner, I arranged some triangles on the mat shown on my computer. Then I added some Easter eggs to the center of some of the triangles. I added letters to the triangles to spell out, "Happy Easter." Then I added some green paper to my Cricut and cut...
Once everything was cut out, I picked out some patterned paper to add to the back that would show through the cut outs...
Don't forget to save the center section of some of the letters such as the "A" to add back to the paper...
Next, I taped a pretty yarn to the back of the triangles...
and my banner is ready to hang...
I wish you all a HAPPY EASTER!
If you want to learn more about Sure Cuts A Lot, there are videos available on YouTube.
