I recently went on a shopping trip to Atlanta with a couple of friends and we decided to check out a new Goodwill store. There were 3 tables for sale for just under $8 each and we each bought one. There was tape on the bottoms of the tables that indicated that they had been used as gambling tables for an event rental company.
The tables were painted brown and needed a little TLC. I painted the top of my table a cream color but it still needed a little something.
I had this craft frame that I bought a while back and haven't figured out what to do with...
It was the perfect size and shape to fit inside the table top.
I centered it on the top of the table and traced around it...
Once I had the design traced, I drew a fleur de lis in the middle of the design. I painted the design using acrylic paint.
I finished it off with a coat of dark wax...
For a table I almost passed up, it turned out not too shabby!
I took a gamble on a rickety old gambling table and it paid off...
it sold in less than a week.
