Church Paintings

Last week I talked about how I sometimes acquire things and they sit for a year (or ten) before I create anything with them. Other times I create something right away with my junk treasures, as was the case with this box of tin that a friend gave me...
The raised arch shape immediately made me think of a church...
So I filled in the arch with white paint and blended in a little brown...
I added a door...
and, a cross and a wreath...

I loved it so much that I decided to do a series of churches...

Don't be too excited for me yet for having completed a project so quickly...I still have a box full of the tin!

  6. Those are so beautiful. I just took a bunch of those tins to the shop to sell. I've had them forever and decided to get rid of them. Now I need to see if they sold, oh man.
