While visiting the Country Living Fair back in October, I found these vintage pot holders...
They reminded me of Christmas and I knew they'd go perfectly in my house since I decorate with red. I've seen banners made using pot holders and knew that these would make a beautiful Christmas banner for my kitchen.
You can't just cut them in half or they would unravel, so I sewed 2 rows along each side of the middle...
Then, I cut down the middle in between the 2 rows I had just sewn...
I sewed each piece to ric rac...
If you've followed my blog for a while, then you may remember the Christmas spoon curtains I shared a few years ago...
The pot holder banner goes perfectly with the Christmas curtains...
While we're at it, let's look around the rest of the kitchen...
The space over my cooktop is always a fun place to decorate...
I love this Christmas platter...
I made these faux candy apples for my table...
My son, John, made the farmhouse table for me. More on that coming soon!
Over the table, I decorated the chandelier with tree trimmings and vintage style ornaments that I also got at the Country Living Fair...
I always decorate my mantel with Santa and vintage toys...
My mothers' dough bowl filled with tree trimmings and jingle bells is always one of my most simple and favorite things...
Another favorite...
my mothers' pitcher. I'd love to know how many times a day she filled this pitcher up with sweet tea while my brothers and I were growing up! I don't use it to make tea.. I use it year round in my decor...
These snowflakes and deer heads are some of my new pieces this year. I added them to this little nook...
Let's move around the corner...
Let's head into the dining room...
I hope you enjoyed the tour.
I'd like to take this time to thank all of you who visit my blog and to wish you and your loved ones a very Merry Christmas!
