Chardonnay Anyone?

Do you prefer red or white wine?
I prefer red, but still love the occasional glass of chardonnay.

I found this resin plaque at a Goodwill store in Tennessee while visiting my in-laws.
 It had been spray painted red...  
poorly spray painted I might add!

With a price of 99cents, I couldn't pass it up.

I painted the plaque with some of my homemade chalk paint.
It took 2 coats to cover the red.

Then I antiqued it with some glaze. I painted on the glaze then wiped it off with a damp rag.


 This was a clear glaze that I tinted with Burnt Umber acrylic paint.


 In this case, I prefer white over red!

While I had my paint and glaze out, I gave this little coffee table a much needed facelift...
