Buttons & Burlap Christmas Tree

While on a recent junkin' outing,
I purchased this Christmas tree made out of 2 x 4's...

Cute, but too plain!

So, I dry brushed on some acrylic paint.

 I use white paint on the horizontal pieces 
and beige on the vertical piece. 

Then I stapled burlap ribbon to the back
& started wrapping it around the tree to 
represent garland.

 I finished it off by gluing buttons to the boards.

Everything I used, I already had on hand.
And, it made a vast improvement!

I guess my button and burlap
 hoarding tendencies came in handy!
