The Patterned Window

A friend recently gave me a bunch of windows. All she asked, was that I make one into something pretty for her. So, I turned one of the windows into a piece of art for her sewing room.

I bought this box of vintage patterns at an auction for just a couple of dollars a few months ago...

I started by tearing pictures from the covers of the patterns and, using ModPodge, I glued them onto the back of the window so they show through the panes.

The box of patterns, had some that had been sent in the mail...

Finally, I covered the entire surface of the panes

 with torn pieces of the patterns.

 Sew cute!
