Please Tell Me This Isn't Poisonous!

We just found this growing in our woods.
Does anybody know what it is?
It looks like a cotton ball with pink polka dots.
It's quite interesting...I just hope it's not poisonous!!!

    To me it looks like cotton grass, although I've never seen polka dots on it before. It is not poisonous according to the department of agriculture. How pretty and unique!
