I saw a nest in a teacup similar to this one at a gift shop and, of course, I came right home and made one. And, as with so many crafty things, I became obsessed! I made a bunch of them in old Jello molds...
I made the nests out of packing material...
I glued it into the molds using E6000...
Then I glued in some faux eggs...
Everything I used, I had on hand. I love a project like that where I don't have to go buy stuff!
Then I went to the Goodwill and saw this for $2...
and I thought that it would look great with a nest.
I told you I get obsessed!

Very cute! I love birds nests...especially in the cold dreary winter. Reminds me that the warmth of spring is just around the corner.
ReplyDeleteThe nests with the eggs in the Jell-O molds are adorable.
ReplyDeleteI made some myself a couple of years back and posted them on my blog too. I set the cups side on, so they stood leaning on the handles and some that you could hang.........they do look cute, yours do too! Love the one in the tree lol
