Whatever happened to entering with our e-mail? I don't Twitter, I prefer not to post my personal business on facebook, I suppose I could go through each shop and follow them on Pinterest and sign up to receive their blogs, but if all of that is necessary to be a true contestant in a giveaway, I know going in that I've already eliminated myself from the giveaway. Kind of frustrating.
ReplyDeleteI am really sorry you feel that way, Judy. I understand your point. But our sponsors are actually not giving away their wares for free. It's already hard to manage your own handmade shop and we all know that for online shops social networking is very effective for marketing. They all need to grow their fan base. They giveaway their product in exchange of having more Facebook likes or Twitter followers. But since those tasks are not mandatory, you only have to follow/like them if you really want to. You only have to do the mandatory entry to really qualify and enter the giveaway. All of the other entires are just optional. And also for a blogger like me, I organize these types of group giveaway for free. I mean, I don't ask my sponsors to pay me. I only ask for them to donate something as prize. But to compensate for all the work I do to organize everything, I also add in the entry form as optional entries likes and follows for my own social networking sites. All the other bloggers who help me promote the giveaway also get optional entries in the form in exchange of their promotion.
