Fabric Covered Magnetic Frame

For Christmas, my niece sent me this magnetic frame...
It is covered in fabric and has buttons with magnets on them to hold a photo or recipe...
Of course, as with just about every thing I see, I thought, "I could make that!"
So, I set out on a mission to find all the components to make my own version. I started my search for the metal at an office supply store. I was hoping they might have some kind of metal memo board. What they did have were these metal bookends...
It was great because for about $10 I got metal to make 2 frames. Plus they were already bent at the bottom to be able to stand up.
I cut fabric about an inch larger than the metal...

My bookends were curved at the top, so I clipped the fabric approximately every half inch so it would fold neatly around the curve...
I added Tacky glue around the edges of the bookend and folded the fabric around to the back...

I cut another piece of fabric a little smaller than the bookend. I used pinking sheers to give it a neat appearance...

Using the Tacky glue, I covered the back with the fabric...
I made a bow and glued it on with E6000.
I added a magnet to a button and my frame is complete...
