St. Patrick's Cathedral, Dublin Ireland & A Giveaway

My husband and I have visited Ireland 3 times now. If he had his way we would never go anywhere else on vacation.

Ireland is so beautiful! And the people are just as lovely.

You can't visit Dublin, Ireland without going to St. Patrick's Cathedral.
It was founded in 1191 and is the National Cathedral of the Church Of Ireland.

We have visited the cathedral all three times we've been in Dublin. And, in 2017, we took our son and daughter.
It was such a blessing to be able to share the experience with them.

I'm thrilled to have captured a beautiful memory with a canvas from Canvas Factory as a keepsake from our trip.

I have several canvases from Canvas Factory and have been very pleased with the quality of each one.

Do you have a special photo that you'd love to have  on canvas? Then this may be your lucky day!

Cobalt Got Hammered

I found this little table recently at a yard sale...
I had a beautiful gift wrapping paper in a blue & green floral that I've been wanting to decoupage on something. And, since the top of the table was not in the best shape, I decided the paper would be perfect for this project.
So, I decoupaged the paper onto the top and painted the rest of the wood with the color, Cobalt Blue, from the Dixie Belle Paint Company.
Then the cobalt got hammered. Hammered Copper that is!

I used a Q-tip to add Dixie Belle's Gilding Wax in the color, Hammered Copper, along the lip where the paper meets the paint.
I used my finger to add more gilding wax to the raised areas. I added more gilding wax to the metal base to brighten it up.
I also added a few little touches of the wax to the paper.
Once finished, I sealed the table with Dixie Belle's Gator Hide.

Getting hammered was just what this little table needed!
