Easter Bunny Porch Pal

Hippity, hoppity, Easter's on its way!
And, this cute little porch pal is a fun way to greet my guests this Spring.

I've shared a few of the wooden cutouts from Signopoly & this is one of my favorites...
I used Dixie Belle Paint in the colors, Lucky Lavender, Fluff, Mermaid Tail, & Peony.
I used the color Fluff so there would be a light background for adding decoupage tissue paper from re*design with Prima.
I attached the paper using ModPodge.
I added Dixie Belle's white wax to highlight the grooves & edges of each color.

Who knew you could get fur pompoms?!!!
Not me, but I'm glad that I do now!
This 4" fur pompom was the perfect finishing touch for my porch pal.
I added the base that came with the bunny and my bunny is standing proud at the door!
He may need to come inside so I can enjoy his cuteness more!

Cottontail Candy. Co

We've had some dreary, wet weather here in Georgia over the last couple of months. So, it's time to add some cheerful, colorful, Easter decor to my house in anticipation of Spring!

I made this fun sign using a wooden cutout from Signopoly. It came with one piece with the shape of a bunny cut out in the center, & a solid piece for the back.

I cut a pretty piece of wrapping paper & glued it to the back board using ModPodge.

I painted the wood with the bunny with the color, Daisy, from the Dixie Belle Paint Company.

I placed the painted board over the back board & attached them with a staple gun.
I made a vinyl stencil for the lettering with my Cricut Maker. I used the color, Evergreen, for the words.
This cheerful sign adds a little bit of sunshine to these rainy days!

Scrap Wood DIY

I had so much fun making these little houses at Christmas...
I was sad to pack them away until next winter, so I made one I can keep out all year.

We always have scrap wood, so I drew off my little house on a 2x4 and my husband cut it for me.
After I sanded, I painted it with the color, Fluff, from the Dixie Belle Paint Company.
I added some bakers twine to the block using tacky glue...
I cut triangles out of scrapbook paper and glued them under the twine...

I used my Crisut Maker to design and cut a phrase using vinyl and added it to the house...

I cut pieces of veneer to create the doors and windows. I used a damp rag to wash color onto them, and used a tiny brush to add some detail.

When a friend wanted to have a craft night for her birthday, I knew this would be the perfect project. I love all the different colors.

I have a few extra blocks and have an art project swirling around in my head that I'm excited to start. I'll be sharing that soon!
