A few years ago I redid an armoire that was missing some of the hardware. Since I had to replace what was missing, I used the old drawer pulls to make jewelry...
So, when I had another piece with missing hardware, I decided to do the same thing with the leftover pulls. This time the drawer pulls were smaller and a little more simple...
I wanted to add some color, so I left the screw in and wrapped it with bakers twine...
Once I had as much twine on the screw as I wanted, I added a little tacky glue to hold the twine in place. I waited until the glue was dry and then cut the twine.
Since it then resembled a spool of thread, I chose charms with a sewing theme that I got at Michael's to make a necklace...
If you didn't know,
would you know
that it's a drawer pull?
I didn't think so!
